Invite you to a talk by George Miller Local History and the Postcard Photographer

George Miller lives in Landenberg and is a professor at the University of Delaware. He has written and lectured extensively about postcards and
photography in the early decades of the 20th century. His books include A Pennsylvania Album (Penn State Press) and A Delaware Album (University of Delaware Press) and nearly 200 articles. For a number of years he edited the newsletter of the Newark (Del.) Historical Society. He will be speaking about local photographer Edward Herbener, who photographed widely in Chester County, Delaware, and Maryland, and about the importance of the postcard photography for anyone interested in local history.
