NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

DECEMBER 1, 2016

 

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA.  The following Supervisors were present:  Vice Chairman, Gerard Porter; and Member Mary Anne Steel.  Chairman Dale Lauver was not present.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment on agenda items.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

2017 Budget

Gerry Porter reported that there will not be a tax increase for 2017.  A Motion was made by Mary Anne Steel, seconded by Gerry Porter to approve the 2017 Budget.  The vote was unanimous.

Wheatland Farms

On a Motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Mary Anne Steel the Board of Supervisors will leave the option to stop issuing building permits in the event that the Board is not satisfied with the progress of completing the Waste Water Treatment Plant.  The vote was unanimous.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Regular Meeting Minutes

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, and seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the November 3, 2016, Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes were approved as presented.  The vote was unanimous.

STAFF REPORTS

Treasurer Report

On a motion made by Mary Anne Steel, seconded by Gerry Porter, the November, 2016 bills were approved for payment and financial reports were accepted as presented.  The vote was unanimous.

Zoning Officer

Trish Fagan reported that seven (7) permits were issued in November.  Two (2) were issued for Single Family Dwellings.  Three (3) Use & Occupancy Certificates, two (2) for Single Family Dwellings, were issued in November.

Planning Commission

Planning Commission Chairman, Ron Ragan, advised the Board of Supervisors there is one (1) new plan being reviewed and that Ordinance work continues.

Engineering Report

Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, reported to the Board of Supervisors that he is updating mapping for MS4.

Emergency Management

Township Emergency Management Coordinator, Dave Flad, reported to the Board of Supervisors the AGREM Winter Plan.  Mr. Flad advised that the County would like the Knowledge Center used more often.
