NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 1, 2015

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Dale Lauver, Vice Chairman, Gerard Porter, and Member Mary Anne Steel.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment on agenda items.

Corporal Ranck – Pennsylvania State Police

Corporal Ranck reported that items are still being stolen from cars. He recommended that residents should keep valuables out of cars and keep cars locked.

Resolution 2015 – 10 – 1 Designating Trish Fagan

On a motion made by Mary Anne Steel, seconded by Gerry Porter Trish Fagan was designated to submit the Application for Traffic Signal Approval to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and to sign this Application on behalf of New London Township. The vote was unanimous.

2015 Roadwork List

The Board of Supervisors reviewed the list of Roadwork from their March 18, 2015

“Ride the Roads”.

Comcast Cable

On a motion by Gerry Porter, seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the Comcast Cable Franchise Agreement was approved. The vote was unanimous.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Regular Meeting Minutes

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the September 3, 2015 Minutes were approved. The vote was unanimous.

STAFF REPORTS

Treasurer Report

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the September, 2015 bills were approved for payment and financial reports were accepted. The vote was unanimous.

Planning Commission

Ron Ragan reported that no ordinance meeting was held due to the Township Consultant, David Sweet, was unable to attend the meeting.

Engineer Report

Walnut Glen Road – Ron Ragan advised that the binder is in place.

TMDL – Ron advised that he will be working on this thru the end of year.

FEMA – New maps will soon be issued.

New London Township Park – A revised sketch of the park was reviewed by the Board.

Emergency Management

Township Emergency Management Coordinator, Dave Flad, presented the Board of Supervisors with a proposal to install a generator. The Township will purchase the generator and transfer switch.

AGREM 1670 – Dave reported that it is turned on and broadcasting an advertising loop.

Property and Buildings

Dale Lauver reported that the new oil tank has been installed.

The meeting adjourned at 10:10 PM.
