NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WORK MEETING MINUTES
September 20, 2017
The New London Township Board of Supervisors Meeting convened at 7:00 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Gerry Porter and Vice Chairman, Dale Lauver.
Resolution No. 2017-9-2
Dale Lauver made a Motion, seconded by Gerry Porter, to approve Resolution No. 2017-9-2, DEP Planning Module for the George D. Duncan Subdivision Plan.
OLD BUSINESS
The Board of Supervisors discussed a real estate issue.
Meeting Room Repair – We are waiting a proposal from Risk Associates.
Sign for Township Building – Should be installed by end of next week.
Public Water to Township Building – Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, will check for a company to determine what size tap would be needed.
Wheatland Farms Sewer Plant
Gerry Porter will contact Sam McMichael, Township Solicitor for direction to complete the plant.
New London Township Park Plan
Ron Ragan is 90 percent complete with the bid package. We should have the permit by March. WE should be ready to start in the Spring of 2018.
NEW BUSINESS
Gerry Porter reported that Franklin Township has contacted us about a request from a resident of theirs that requested “brake retarders prohibited” signage which would include signage in New London Township. The Board of Supervisors agreed that since the brake retarders prohibited are not enforceable by the State Police, the signage would not work.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
