NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
December 4, 2008
The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:40 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Dale Lauver; Member, Gerard Porter.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment on agenda items.
SCHEDULED ACTION/PRESENTATION TOPICS
Fire Company – 2009 Agreement
On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Dale Lauver, the 2009 Fire Company Agreement was approved. The vote was unanimous.
Chester County SPCA – 2009 Agreement
On a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Gerry Porter, the 2009 Chester County SPCA Agreement was approved. The vote was unanimous.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Dale Lauver, the November 5, 2008 Board of Supervisors Meeting minutes were approved. The vote was unanimous.
TREASURER’S REPORT
On a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Gerry Porter, the Bills To Be Paid for December were approved and the financial reports were accepted as presented. The vote was unanimous.
STAFF REPORTS
Planning Commission
No new Plans have been submitted to the Township. Ordinance Workshop is cancelled for December. Comprehensive Plan scope will be ready for the Board of Supervisors Work Meeting.
Engineer
Ron Ragan reported that 2 EDUs will be needed by Sunoco for their sewer needs. Mr. Ragan received the Engineering Drawing for Sunoco. Mr. Ragan sent letters to developers reminding them that they are responsible for snow removal if the roads are not dedicated.
Zoning Officer
Trish Fagan reported that 3 permits were issued in November (1 was for an SFD); 3 U&O’s were issued (1 was for an SFD).
Tax Collector
Auditors will meet with Roxanne Schroll and Trish Fagan on Monday, December 10, 2008.
Emergency Management
The County is curtailing some County services. One will be them participating in the meetings for AGREM. Election of Officers will take place this month.
Newsletter
The Newsletter will be mailed by Wednesday, December 10, 2008.
Property & Building Use
Dale wants to discuss building a salt shed the first month of 2009.
Roadmaster
Road contractor Mike Harlan was in attendance and reported that the Route 896/Oxford Road project will not be paved due to the PennDOT inspector stating that the temperature must be 40 degrees and rising. The paving will probably have to wait until Spring. Paving took place on Lewisville Road.
Assessment Appeals
None.
Refuse & Recycling
No activity.
Road Enhancement
No action.
