NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

FEBRUARY 4, 2016

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Dale Lauver, Gerard Porter and Mary Anne Steel.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment on agenda items.

Dale Lauver announced that an executive session was held prior to the meeting.

Dominic Campese – Eagle Scout

Dominic Campese attended the meeting to present to the Board of Supervisors his Eagle Scout project a “Little Free Library” which is basically a book swap. He would like to place a free standing 12 by 20 structure on the Township Property. The Board approved the project.

Resolution No. 2016-2-1

On a motion made by Mary Anne Steel, seconded by Gerry Porter, Resolution No. 2016-2-1 Adopting the Multi – Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan of the County of Chester was approved. The vote was unanimous.

Resolution No. 2016-2-2

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Mary Anne Steel, Resolution No. 2016-2-2 to adopt a Resolution of the Governing Board of New London Township, directing the proper officers of the Governing Board to appoint a Liaison between it and Berkheimer, the duly appointed Collector of Local Taxes for the District, for the express purpose of sharing confidential tax information with the District for official purposes was approved. The vote was unanimous.

Bob Lester – Resident of Thunder Hill Road

Mr. Lester asked when the improvements to Thunder Hill Road will be made. Dale Lauver stated that the road will be looked at in the Spring for a decision on the improvement.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Regular Meeting Minutes

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the January 4, 2016, the Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes were approved. The vote was unanimous.

STAFF REPORTS

Treasurer Report

On a motion made by Mary Anne Steel, seconded by Gerry Porter, the February, 2016 bills were approved for payment and financial reports were accepted. The vote was unanimous.

Planning Commission

Ron Ragan reported that no new subdivision plans have been submitted.

Amendments to Zoning Ordinances were reviewed and commented on by the Chester County Planning Commission.

Township Park will be put out to bid in April or May.

Zoning Officer

Trish Fagan reported that ten (10) permits were issued in January. One (1) for A Single Family Dwelling. One (1) Use & Occupancy Certificate for a Single Family Dwelling was issued in January.

Emergency Management

Dave Flad reported that the Township faired well during the snow storm. There was one roof collapse on a mushroom house. AGREM used 1670 radio station during the storm.
