NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
MAY 7, 2015

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Robert Barto and Gerard Porter.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment on agenda items.

Bernadette Novak- Township Resident

Mrs. Novak presented the Board with a letter stating the run-off problems that exist on her property. Bob Barto stated that since Township Engineer, Ron Ragan was not in attendance, no action could take place at this meeting. Mr. Novak stated that the Novaks and the adjoining property owner will share the expense of installing a ditch to carry the run-off water away from the Novak’s back yard. The Township Engineer will be given a copy of the Novak’s letter and will work with the Conservation District on this matter.

Pat McKeon – Avon Grove Library

Pat McKeon gave the annual report for the library. She introduced the new Director of the library, Lori Schwabenbauer who gave highlights of a strategic plan.

Thunder Hill Road

Some Thunder Hill Road residents were in attendance with concerns that the road is deteriorating. Bob Barto stated that the Board looked at the road in March and that an engineered plan has been drawn by Township Engineer, Ron Ragan. The road will be inspected again and the plans will be reviewed.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

SECRETARY’S REPORT

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, the April 2, 2015 Minutes were approved. The vote was unanimous.

STAFF REPORTS

Treasurer Report

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, the May, 2015 bills were approved for payment and financial reports were accepted. The vote was unanimous.

Planning Commission

No report.

Engineer

Ron Ragan was not in attendance but provided a written status report.

Zoning Officer

Trish Fagan reported that twelve (12) permits were issued in April. Two (2) Use & Occupancy Certificates were issued in April.

Emergency Management

Dave Flad talked about the Everbridge Program that the County is now using for alerts to residents.

AM Radio Station – The FCC sent AGREM’s application for a license out for public comment. No comments were received.

Roadmaster

Bob Barto read Jack Arrell’s report.

The meeting adjourned at 9:14 PM.
