NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WORK MEETING MINUTES
April 15, 2015

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Work Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Dale Lauver; Vice Chairman, Robert Barto; Member, Gerard Porter.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment on agenda items.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

Wynstone Subdivision Maintenance Guarantee

Township Engineer, Ron Ragan reported that he inspected the site improvements in the Wynstone Subdivision and determined them to be in satisfactory condition with the exception of one item. The Developer (Wilkinson) needs to replace dead or dying trees and shrubs as identified in a memo from Strauss Associates, Inc. dated March 20, 2015. Wilkinson Builders offered a check in the amount of $3,175.00 as security to ensure the replacement of the trees and shrubs. Ron Ragan recommended the release of the Maintenance Bond and the Maintenance Agreement terminated. On a motion by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the Maintenance Bond was released and the Maintenance Agreement was terminated. The vote was unanimous.

Resolution 2015-4-1, DCNR Grant – New London Village Park

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, Resolution No. 2015-4-1 was approved. The vote was unanimous.

Resolution 2015-4-2, DCNR Grant Match Requirement

On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, Resolution No. 2015-4-2 was approved. The vote was unanimous.

Freedom Chapter of Demolay (Masonic Lodge) Request to hold Community Yard Sale

A letter was received from the Freedom Chapter of Demolay to hold a Community Yard Sale on May 23, 2015. The Board of Supervisors was in agreement to permit the Yard Sale with the understanding that the first floor bathroom will not be used as a porta-let is available near the ballfield. The Demolay will be responsible for all clean-up including trash removal. Township’s dumpster is not to be used. The Township portion of the building is not to be open to the public.

Crossan-Raimato’s Park Donation

Ken Crossan attended the meeting to report that a part of the surveying cost for the Park will be a donation for the Park.

OLD BUSINESS

Walnut Glen Road Culvert

Township Engineer, Ron Ragan reported that he has received the shop drawings for the culvert on Walnut Glen Road.

NEW BUSINESS

Kirks Mill Road

Dale Lauver reported that work will need to be performed on Kirks Mill Road. Ron Ragan will get the permits required.
