NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPEVISORS REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 4, 2018
The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:00 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Vice Chairman, Dale Lauver and Member, Mary Anne Steel.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment on agenda items.
SCHEDULED ACTION/ PRESENTATION TOPICS
Lieutenant Michelle Swantner – State Police
Lt. Michelle Swantner gave an over view of police activities in the Township. She answered questions that were asked by the Board and residents.
S47 Lewisville Road
Mrs. Posey of 547 Lewisville Road addressed the Board of her concern that water is coming off of 545 Lewisville Road and flooding her property. Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, will look at the property and report back to the Board.
Pat McKeon -Avon Grove Library
Pat provided the Board of Supervisors with statistics as they relate to Township and Borough contributions. She also reported activities that the Library is planning.
SECRETARV’S REPORT
Regular Meeting Minutes
On a motion made by Mary Anne Steel, and seconded by Dale Lauver, the September 6, 2018 Minutes were approved as presented. The vote was unanimous.
Treasurer Report
On a motion made by Mary Anne Steel, and seconded by Dale Lauver, the October 2018 bills were approved for payment and financial reports were accepted as presented. The vote was unanimous.
STAFF REPORTS
Planning Commission
Ron Ragan advised that the Planning Commission has received two (2) subdivisions. The Bowwood (Matsen/Brown) and Szymanski subdivision.
There are four (4) Ordinances that will be reviewed by Township Solicitor, Sam McMichael, prior to sending to the County for review.
Engineer Report
Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, reported that the New London Township Park technical comments have been addressed to CCCD. We should have the NPDES permit by the end of October.
Storm Sewer Repairs- Camera work is being performed on piping in Alpine Estates, Surrey Hills, and Shepherd Hollow.
MS4 Meeting – Ron Ragan and Gerry Porter attended the meeting. Mr. Ragan gave an overview of the meeting.
Mr. Ragan also advised the Board that the bridge on West Avondale Road will need repairs.
Emergency Management
Township Emergency Management Coordinator, Dave Flad, advised the Board that the County required training for EMC’s and Deputies has changed.
Zoning Officer
Trish Fagan reported that two (2) permits were issued in September.
