NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REGULAR MEETING MINUTES October 7, 2021
The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:00 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Gerard Porter, Chairman; Dale Lauver, Vice Chairman; and Mary Anne Steel, Supervisor.
PUBLIC COMMENT
There was no public comment on Agenda items.
Pat McKeon – Avon Grove Library
Pat McKeon of the Avon Grove Library gave an overview to the Board of Supervisors.
Kathryn Reh – 721 Saginaw Road Sign Request
Township resident, Kathryn Reh, of 721 Saginaw Road asked the Board to install a School bus stop ahead sign across from her property. Kathryn explained that the school bus can no longer turn around at the Township line since the new bridge installed is smaller forcing her child to catch the school bus on the opposite side of the road. There was some discussion about the Township contacting the property owner next to the new bridge to see if they would allow the school bus to turn around on their property.
2022 Draft Budget
A Motion was made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Mary Anne Steel, to approve the 2022 Proposed Budget for advertising. The vote was unanimous.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
Regular Meeting Minutes
On a motion by Gerry Porter, seconded by Dale Lauver, the September, 2, 2021, Regular Meeting Minutes were approved as presented. The vote was unanimous.
Treasurer’s Report
On a motion by Dale Lauver, seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the October bills were approved for payment and the financial reports were approved as presented. The vote was unanimous.
STAFF REPORTS
Planning Commission
Planning Commission Chairman, Ron Ragan, reported there are no new subdivisions. There are revisions being made on the Landscape Ordinance. They will have a draft to the Board of Supervisors by the end of October.
Engineer’s Report
Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, reported that the electricity is hooked up in the New London Township Park.
MS4 – Nothing new to report.
Zoning Report
Zoning Officer, Trish Fagan, reported that eight (8) building permits were issued in September. There were two (2) Use and Occupancy Permits issued.
