NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 6, 2019

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:00 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Gerard Porter and Member, Mary Anne Steel. Vice Chairman Dale Lauver was not present.

PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment on agenda items.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

Stewert Gantt Owenwood Drive Speed Bump Request
Mr. Gantt lives on Owenwood Drive and stated that cars are speeding through the subdivision. He stated that there are no speed limit signs. He asked about the possibility of a speed bump being installed. Gerry Porter stated that the road crew will be instructed to put up 25 mph speed limit signs. Ron Ragan suggested that Mr. Gantt circulate and petition to neighbors to see who is in favor of a speed bump.

Kofron Property
The Board of Supervisors approved the property to be appraised.

Thunder Hill Road Tree Removal
Motion was made by Mary Anne Steel, and seconded by Gerry Porter, to have Knight Brothers Inc. move forward with the tree removal.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Regular Meeting Minutes
On a Motion made by Gerry Porter, and seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the June 6, 2019 Regular Meeting Minutes were approved as presented. The vote was unanimous.

Treasurer Report
On a Motion made by Gerry Porter, and seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the June, 2019 bills were approved for payment and financial reports were accepted as presented. The vote was unanimous.

STAFF REPORTS

Planning Commission
Chairman, Ron Ragan, reported that three (3) ordinance amendments were sent to the Chester County Planning Commission.

Cook Brothers Land Development Plan – There are some storm water issues. Ron will meet with their engineer.

New London Presbyterian Church – They will be seeking relief through the Zoning Hearing Board for the property at 896 and Church Road.

Melasecca Subdivision Plan – Waiting for planning module approval.

Engineer’s Report
Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, reported that he has the Easement Agreements for the traffic light at 896 and Oxford Road / Olympia Avenue.

Motion was made by Mary Anne Steel, and seconded by Gerry Porter, to execute the easement agreements. The vote was unanimous.

Walnut Grove – The storm water related issued work has been completed.

Thunder Hill Road and Lightning Lane – Ron will meet with the residents regarding water run off issues.

New London Township Park – Ron Ragan will meet with Martha Straus and will send the bid package to the County and the DCNR for approval and then advertise.

Zoning Officer
Trish Fagan reported that six (6) permits were issued in May. One (1) Use and Occupancy was issued.

The meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM.
