NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

REGULAR MEETING

DECEMBER 2, 2010

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:35 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Dale Lauver and Gerard Porter.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment on agenda items.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

Brandywine Valley Association – TMDL Plan

Ron Ragan recommended that the BOS agree to have the Township participate in the Program. Ron will attend meetings if it does not conflict with other meetings. He will donate his time. On a Motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Gerry Porter, it was agreed that the Township will participate and meet all municipal requirements as outlined in the Agreement.

 

Grants

The Board of Supervisors is in favor of seeking a grant for trails if purchase of Stanwell Tract would take place. The Board would also like to seek funding from the H2O PA Grant Program for the installation of piping for Village sewer capacity. Ron Ragan will work on putting a team together to write the grant applications.

STAFF REPORTS

TREASURER’S REPORT

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Dale Lauver, the Bills to Be Paid for December were approved and financial reports accepted.

 

Planning Commission

Ron Ragan reported that ordinance amendments will be ready for the December work meeting.

 

Ron reported that a six (6) month extension was filed with the County for the completion of the Comprehensive Plan which is reviewing Vision Partnership Program funding.

 

Ron also reported that a 3 lot subdivision sketch plan has been submitted.

 

Engineer

Ron Ragan is working at reviewing a final design for a treatment plant at Wheatland Farms. Plans are to have it operational by May, 2011.

 

 

Zoning Officer

Trish Fagan reported that six (6) permits were issued in November; seven (7) U&O’s were issued.

 

Tax Collector

No report.

 

Emergency Management

Mike Predmore reported that the drill with OXREM went well.

 

Property & Building Use

Trish Fagan reported that the ceiling in the storage room upstairs is damaged. Dale Lauver advised he will have someone check the roof.

 

OLD/NEW BUSINESS

None.
