NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 5, 2015

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:35 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA.  The following Supervisors were present:  Dale Lauver, Robert Barto and Gerard Porter.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment on agenda items.

John Goodall – Brandywine Conservancy

John handles agricultural preservation.  He showed a map of Chester County showing agricultural easements.  He reported that Chester County has the best agricultural soils in the country.

Charlie Humkey – Recycling Status

Charlie reported that the letters went out to the haulers for registration and only three have sent him their information.  An informational mailing for recycling needs to be sent to residents by the end of February.  Our website will have links to the haulers that service the Township.

Ordinance 2015-1 and 2015-2

On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, Ordinance 2015-1 and 2015-2 were approved.  The vote was unanimous.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Regular Meeting Minutes

On a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Bob Barto, the January 5, 2015 Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes were approved.  The vote was unanimous.

STAFF REPORTS

Treasurer Report

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, the February, 2015 bills were approved for payment and financial reports were accepted.  The vote was unanimous.

Planning Commission

Ron Ragan reported that he will have ordinance amendments for adoption sometime in March.

Engineer

Ron Ragan reported the he started work on the 537 Plan.  Ron is attending training on MS4 on February 18th.

Walnut Glen – Ron reported that the there is a need to bid the fabrication of the culvert.  We will need to put out to bid next week in order to have a June delivery.

Zoning Officer

Trish Fagan reported that nine (9) permits were issued in January.  No Use & Occupancy Certificates were issued in January.

Emergency Management

No report.

Roadmaster

Report was reviewed by the Board.

OLD/NEW BUSINESS

Intermunicipal Agreement

The Board reviewed the agreement and Bob had numerous questions and comments.  He will type the comments into the draft contract.
