NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
MARCH 5, 2009
The New London Township Board of Supervisors meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Dale Lauver; Vice Chairman, Robert Barto; and Member, Gerard Porter.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment.
Conards Mill Road
Charles Platz of Conards Mill Road asked that residents be notified when work will be performed on the roads where they live. Robert McCleary gave a synopsis of the work on Conards Mill Road as he recalls. He was not in agreement with the work that was deemed necessary by the Township. Jay Johnston claimed that trees were removed from his property. Dale Lauver stated that he will talk to Roadmaster, Jack Arrell and get back to Robert McCleary.
ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS
Havenstone Subdivision Maintenance Guarantee Release
On a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Bob Barto, the Maintenance Guarantee is hereby terminated and relinquished. The vote was unanimous.
Paddocks Subdivision Maintenance Guarantee Release
On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the Maintenance Guarantee is hereby terminated and relinquished. The vote was unanimous.
Hollow Rock Subdivision Maintenance Guarantee Release
On a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Gerry Porter, the Maintenance Guarantee is hereby terminated and relinquished. The vote was unanimous.
Resolution No. 2009-3-1, Open Records Policy
On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, Resolution No. 2009-3-1 was hereby adopted. The vote was unanimous.
Resolution No. 2009-3-2, dotGrants Program
On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, Resolution No. 2009-3-2 was hereby adopted. The vote was unanimous.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
On a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Bob Barto, the February 5, 2009 Regular Meeting Minutes were approved. The vote was unanimous
TREASURER’S REPORT
The report will be presented at the March 18, 2009 Work Meeting. On a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Bob Barto, the Bills To Be Paid for March were approved. The vote was unanimous.
STAFF REPORTS
Planning Commission
Ron Ragan reported that amendments to zoning ordinance work will begin. They should be ready for advertisement by early summer. No new subdivision or land development plans have been submitted to the Township.
Engineer
Ron Ragan presented the Board of Supervisors with a sketch site plan for a salt shed next to the Township Building. Ron also presented a proposal to prepare the permit application and design drawings for the West Avondale Road bridge replacement. On a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Bob Barto, the Ragan Engineering proposal was approved. The vote was unanimous.
Zoning Officer
Trish Fagan will present the report at the March 18, 2009 Work Meeting.
Emergency Management
Mike Predmore reported that AGREM continues to be active. West Grove Fire Company has a paid fire fighter on duty.
Newsletter
The Spring/Summer 2009 Newsletter is in process.
Property & Building Use
Dale Lauver will check into having lighted exit signs installed at the three Township building exits.
