BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

MAY 7, 2009

The New London Township Board of Supervisors meeting convened at 7:35 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA.  The following Supervisors were present:  Chairman, Dale Lauver; Vice Chairman, Robert Barto; and Member, Gerard Porter.  

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

New London Ventures Preliminary/Final Subdivision Plan

On a motion by Dale Lauver, seconded by Bob Barto, the New London Ventures Subdivision Plan dated June 28, 2006 review period was extended until August 6, 2009 conditioned upon the request form being received tomorrow.  There was a problem with the Township fax machine, so the extension letter was not received. The vote was unanimous. 

Laura Shaw- Stormwater Management Issue

Mrs. Shaw stated that she feels that the issue regarding stormwater on their property from the King residence is confusing.  The Board of Supervisors agreed to have Ron inspect the properties after three rain events as was decided at the April Board of Supervisors Work Meeting.

Gary Clanton

Mr. Clanton reported that there are potholes on Hipkins Road. 

SECRETARY’S REPORT

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, the April  2, 2009 Regular Meeting Minutes were approved as presented.  The vote was unanimous. 

TREASURER’S REPORT

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, the Bills To Be Paid for May were approved.  The vote was unanimous.

STAFF REPORTS

Zoning Officer

Trish Fagan reported that nine (9) permits were issued in April; two (2) were for single family dwellings. One (1) Use & Occupancy Certificates was issued in April.

Emergency Management

David Flad presented the Board of Supervisors with a Member in Good Standing Certificate.  Avon Grove Charter School and Medic 94 are associate members of AGREM and will be a part of AGREM’s communication system.  The County will perform a POD drill in mid-June.

The Spring/Summer 2009 Newsletter is in process. 

Property & Building Use

No report. 

Roadmaster

No report.

Refuse & Recycling

The Planning Commission is looking at the Ordinance again without the single hauler scenario.

Road Enhancement Committee

No report.
