NLT PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES FOR

11/10/10

The New London Township Planning Commission Meeting opened at 7:03 PM. Present were:Ronald Ragan, Chair; Members Bob Barto, Peg Healy, Charlie Humkey and Jack Weber.The minutes were recorded by Kim Malone.

Minutes

Mr. Ragan asked if there were any corrections or additions to the Minutes for 10/13/10.Mr. Barto made a motion to approve the Minutes and Mr. Humkey seconded the motion.The vote was unanimous.

Public Comment

None.

Matt Yates – Sketch Plan

Matt Yates presented a sketch plan for a 2 lot (4 acre total) subdivision he is purchasing.Mr. Ragan had questions about the driveway.Mr. Yates would like to tie into existing driveway and have a single access driveway shared by both lots.A parking space at the bottom of the driveway was also discussed beyond the right-of-way in the event that a vehicle can’t make it up the steep driveway in bad weather, so it doesn’t block the other homeowner’s access.

Old Business

Animal Ordinance

Ron Ragan turned the meeting over to David Sweet who distributed the Suggested Amendments re:Keeping of Animals, 10/28/10 Draft.This draft contains changes from as a result of the discussion at the 10/13 meeting.The exotic animal definition came from the internet.Intensive Ag to be deferred; Mr. Sweet will clean up this ordinance.

New Business

There was brief discussion regarding free-standing solar panel systems.

On a motion made by Mr. Barto and seconded by Ms. Healy and seconded by Mr. Ragan and approved unanimously by the members present, the meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
