NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REGULAR MEETING MINUTES May 6, 2021
The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:00 PM via Zoom video conference. The following Supervisors were present: Gerard Porter, Chairman; Dale Lauver, Vice Chairman; and Supervisor, Mary Anne Steel.
PUBLIC COMMENT
There was no public comment on Agenda items.
New London Township Park
Ron Ragan advised we are still waiting on electricity for the park. He will ask Lechmanik, Inc. to install the swings. He will contact Cedar Knoll Builders to see when the wetlands bridge will be completed. Martha Straus added that the park rules signs are completed and we need to ask the Township contractor, Mike Harlan, to install them. There have been several inquiries about renting the new park pavilion and it was agreed to start renting the pavilion effective June 1, 2021. There was some discussion about holding an official park opening in the Fall.
Draft Landscape Ordinance
The Township Consultant, David Sweet and Martha Straus presented and reviewed the most recent draft of the Landscape Ordinance. It was agreed the Board will read over the draft and add any comments to the draft.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
Regular Meeting Minutes
On a motion by Gerry Porter, seconded by Mary Anne Steel, the April 1, 2021 Regular Meeting Minutes were approved as presented. The vote was unanimous.
Treasurer’s Report
On a motion by Gerry Porter, seconded by Dale Lauver, the May bills were approved for payment and the financial reports were approved as presented. The vote was unanimous.
STAFF REPORTS
Planning Commission
Planning Commission Chairman, Ron Ragan, reported that there are no new subdivision plans. They are still working on the Landscape Ordinance.
Engineer’s Report
MS4 – Ron is working on MS4 loads.
Zoning Report
Zoning Officer, Trish Fagan, reported that twelve (12) building permits were issued in April. No single family dwelling permits were issued. There were five (5) Use and Occupancy Permits issued.
Emergency Management
Emergency Management Coordinator, Dave Flad, gave an update on Covid 19. Dave reported that Chester County is the most vaccinated county at this point.
OLD / NEW BUSINESS
Wheatland Farms Stormwater Management Information
Joyce, the president of the Wheatland Farms Home Owner’s Association asked if the Township could provide any stormwater information guidance. Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, will email a stormwater management PDF with some information to her.
