REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
MARCH 7, 2013
The New London Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting convened at 7:30 PM. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Dale Lauver; Vice-Chairman, Robert Barto; Member, Gerard Porter.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment on agenda items.
Pat McKeon, Avon Grove Library
Pat thanked the Board for the contribution from New London Township. She provided the Board with the 2012 Annual Report.
Pam Howard, Senior After Prom Party
Pam presented a letter to the Board asking for a contribution for the 2013 Avon Grove High School After Prom Party. The Board will put the request on the March 20th meeting agenda.

SECRETARY’S REPORT
Regular Meeting Minutes
On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, the February 7, 2013 Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting Minutes were approved. The vote was unanimous.
STAFF REPORTS
Treasurer Report
On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the March 2013 bills were approved for payment and financial reports were accepted as corrected. The vote was unanimous.
On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the Board approved the compensation for the auditors, at their request, to be sent to the Avon Grove Charter School.
Planning Commission
Ron Ragan reported that no new subdivision plans have been submitted. He reported that the Planning Commission is working on a Refuse and Recycling Ordinance.
Engineer
Ron Ragan reported that he met with Brian Campbell who will start the final section of the Wheatland Farms Subdivision.
Ron reported that the PNDI Search was completed on the Walnut Glen Bridge.
Ron also advised that the Act 167 hearing is scheduled for March 27, 2013.
Zoning Officer
Trish Fagan reported that six (6) permits were issued in February, two (2) were for single family dwellings. Four (4) Use & Occupancy Certificates was issued, three (3) for single family dwellings in February.
Emergency Management
Mike Predmore reported that a NIMS Drill will be held on April 9th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
NIMS training will be required in the future for township officials.
On March 14, townships will be issued an 800 MHZ radio by the County.
School safety – Facilities Manager and the County are working on upgrading the school safety program.Mike will be involved in the process.
Pennsylvania’s New Yellow Dot Program
A new program, which is a part of a nationwide public safety effort, was recently implemented by PA that can alert first responders to check the glove compartment of an accident victim for medical information, medical history, contact info, etc. The program involves placing a special yellow sticker in the bottom left of the vehicle’s rear window and the program is free.

The Board has scheduled the yearly “Ride the Roads” for April 29th at 5:30 PM.
