NLT PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES FOR

3/13/13

The New London Township Planning Commission Meeting opened at 7:05 PM. Present were:Ronald Ragan, Chairman; Members, Bob Barto and Martha Straus.The minutes were recorded by Kim Malone.

Minutes

Mr. Ragan asked if there were any corrections or additions to the Minutes for 1/9/13.  Mr. Barto made a motion to approve the Minutes as presented and Ms. Straus seconded the motion.  The vote was unanimous.

Old Business

Cook Brothers

Mr. Ragan reported that the Board of Supervisors are now waiting for the Performance Guarantee.

Nichol

Mr. Ragan reported that there is nothing new to report.

New Business

Ann Green – Conditional Use Application

Mr. Ragan distributed an outline listing zoning issues and suggested conditions in connection with the Conditional Use Application for a Martial Arts School that Ms. Green submitted to the Township on 2/25/13.  There was discussion regarding various zoning issues (i.e., permitted uses and design standards).  On a motion made by Bob Barto and seconded by Martha Straus, if zoning issues are satisfactorily addressed, then the Planning Commission recommends the Board of Supervisors impose conditions on any conditional use granted as follows:  1) proof from the Chester County Health Department that there is an approved septic system and water supply for the garage and that it is adequate for a “Martial Arts School”; 2)  ADA compliant parking is provided;  and 3) architectural drawings of the proposed renovations shall be submitted and reviewed by the New London Township Building Code Official.

On a motion made by Mr. Barto and seconded by Ms. Straus and approved unanimously, the meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.
