Hello NLT Park Helpers –
May and June are busy months – in and out of the park. Because of various scheduling conflicts, we’d like to change our next two work dates to: Sunday May 18th, 2025 9 am to Noon-ish and Sunday June 8th, 2025 9 am to Noon-ish.
The May date will most likely focus on the playgrounds – including refurbishing the WoodCarpet surfacing and learning how to do our annual safety audit. A larger crew would make this much easier work, so please try to enlist others to help.
By June there will be scads of park maintenance and improvement tasks to do including pruning, weeding, planting, tree straightening and “deer proofing.” There are ticks, rose thorns, poison ivy and other outdoor challenges, so please dress appropriately and bring any tools that you prefer to work with, including a wheelbarrow, if you have one.
