NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WORK MEETING MINUTES
August 20, 2008
The New London Township Board of Supervisors Work Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Dale Lauver; Vice Chairman, Robert Barto; Member, Gerard Porter.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment.
SCHEDULED ACTION/PRESENTATION TOPICS
Megill Matsen
On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, a 90 day extension of the Preliminary/Final Subdivision Plan dated November 17, 2007 was approved. The vote was unanimous.
Pusey Tree Care
On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, payment of Pusey Tree Care’s invoice upon receipt was approved. The vote was unanimous.
Secretary’s Report
On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, the July 16, 2008 Public Hearing Minutes and the July 16, 2008 Board of Supervisors Work Meeting Minutes were approved. The vote was unanimous.
OLD BUSINESS/NEW BUSINESS
Ron Ragan will take additional information to PennDOT for the Saginaw Rd./Route 896 intersection.
Ron Ragan reported that he met with the developer for New London Ventures and PennDOT regarding the Route 896/State Road intersection on the east side. There was discussion about traffic signals.
The Board of Supervisors discussed the retention pond in Alpine Estates where the resident who has lowered the pond on his property requested that the Township convert it to a detention pond. The Board was in agreement not to convert the pond.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
