NLT PLANNING COMMISSION REORGANIZATION AND REGULAR MINUTES FOR 1/8/2020
The New London Township Planning Commission Reorganization Meeting opened at 7:00 PM. Present were: Ron Ragan, Chairman, Mary Anne Steel, Vice Chairman; Members, Martha Straus, Charlie Humkey, and Lynn Klingensmith. The Minutes were recorded by Maureen Zdun.
Reorganization
Chairman
Charlie Humkey made a motion to approve the nomination of Ronald Ragan for the office of Chairman, and Martha Straus seconded the motion. The nominations were closed and the vote was unanimous.
Vice Chairman
Martha Straus made a motion to approve the nomination of Mary Anne Steel for the office of Vice Chairman, and Charlie Humkey seconded the motion. The nominations were closed and the vote was unanimous.
Meeting Dates/Times
Martha Straus made a motion, and seconded by Charlie Humkey that the 2020 meetings will be held on the second Wednesday and last Thursday (workshop) of each month at 7:00 PM. There will be no workshop meetings in November or December. The vote was unanimous.
Regular Meeting
The Regular Meeting commenced at 7:05 PM.
Public Comment
There was no public comment.
Minutes
A Motion was made by Martha Straus, and seconded by Charlie Humkey, to approve the December 11, 2019 Regular Meeting Minutes as presented. The vote was unanimous.
Hedge Apple Hill
The Planning Commission reviewed the Final Subdivison Plan dated November 13, 2019. There was some discussion regarding the waivers on the plan. It was agreed that the Homeowner’s Association document will need to be prepared so the Township Solicitor can review the document. There was some discussion regarding sidewalks or an informal trail being added. It was agreed that the Planning Commission will walk the property to see where a trail could be located.
Ken Crossan asked the Planning Commission to take any action that is needed to allow the Sewage Planning Module to go through before the next Board of Supervisor’s Meeting. It was agreed that the Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, will review and sign the module as the Planning Commission Chairman.
A Motion was made by Martha Straus, and seconded by Lynn Klingensmith, to authorize the Planning Commission Chairman and Township Engineer, Ron Ragan, to follow up with the Sewage Planning Module and act on it. The vote was unanimous.
Porter Subdivision
The Planning Commission reviewed the Final Minor Subdivision Plan, prepared by Ken Crossan of Crossan – Raimato, dated December 9, 2019. There was some discussion regarding extinguishing the fifty (50) foot right of way and having all the parcels on one Deed. Ron Ragan advised that we are still waiting on the Chester County’s review letter.
