Brandywine Conservancy Sustainable Community Assessment
Meredith Mayer Braine and Sarah Sharp of the Brandywine Conservancy finished the power point presentation of the Sustainable Community Assessment. It was agreed the Planning Commission would take some time to review the document and decide what obstacles from the assessment to take on. After the Planning Commission reviews the document and creates a checklist the Brandywine Conservancy will then structure a final product based on the checklist and Township needs.
New London Township Park
Martha Straus shared her concern about who is going to take care of park maintenance.
Mary Anne Steel agreed that we do not have a park person and that void will need to be filled. The Planning Commission agreed that they have to provide some suggestions to the Board of Supervisors. It was agreed to reach out to the residents who previously expressed interest in being on the Park Committee. If there is no interest, then we will advertise for volunteers on social media. Martha is working on the rules and regulations. Ron Ragan advised that a railing will be installed on the walking bridge. It was agreed that the Planning Commission will act as the interim Park Committee.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 PM.
