Pat McKeon, New London Representative to Avon Grove Library, presented the Board with a packet of information about the library.  She gave an overview of the information contained in the packet.

Wheatland Farms – Bus Issues

Dale Lauver explained that cars are passing buses picking up children on Route 896 at the entrance to Wheatland Farms.  Emails and letters have been received regarding this problem.  Dale stated that the school, as well as the Township is concerned about the safety of the children.  The bus has not been entering the subdivision due to the fact that the roads have not been dedicated to the Township so buses would have a liability issue.  Township Engineer Ron Ragan explained that the Township has previously accepted dedication of a road because of safety.  Ron presented a copy of the Resolution adopted for the previous subdivision.  Developer of Wheatland Farms, Brian Campbell is in favor of dedication to help with the safety issue.  Ron explained that Brian needs to supply a deed of dedication for the portion of the road needed for the bus to enter the subdivision.  Ron will look at the road to determine what section of the road will need to be dedicated.  Improvements to the road will be necessary which Mr. Campbell is aware of.  The bus will be able to enter for the next school year.
