NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

WORK MEETING MINUTES

June 18, 2008

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Work Meeting convened at 7:35  PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA.  The following Supervisors were present:   Chairman, Dale Lauver; Vice Chairman, Bob Barto, Member, Gerard Porter. 

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment.

SCHEDULED ACTION/PRESENTATION TOPICS

Ruth Collins-Estates of London Bridge

Henry Jarusik spoke for Ruth Collins and stated that the Estates of London Bridge presented the Board with a letter requesting 8 additional stop signs which would make all intersections within the subdivision 3 way stops.  Bob Barto stated that this is the second request for all way stops in subdivisions.  He suggested that the Board not make a decision tonight and that a procedure should be created regarding stop signs.  He suggested that the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission work together.

Material Bids

On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the Tree Work Bid from Pusey Tree Service was accepted.    The vote was unanimous.  The Board rejected the stone and asphalt bids due to poor response.  The stone and asphalt will be rebid

Twin Chimneys Extension

On a motion by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the Twin Chimneys Subdivision Plan dated June 28, 2006 was extended until September 4, 2008.  The vote was unanimous.

Meeting Minutes

On a motion made by Gerry Porter, seconded by Bob Barto, the May 21, 2008 Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes were approved.  The vote was unanimous.

OLD BUSINESS/NEW BUSINESS

On a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the bills that will be due before the July 16th Board of Supervisors meeting were approved for payment.  The vote was unanimous.

The meeting adjourned at 9:20 PM.
