NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

WORK MEETING MINUTES

November 16, 2011

The New London Township Board of Supervisors Work Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Chairman, Dale Lauver; Vice-Chairman, Bob Barto and Member, Gerard Porter.

No comment on agenda items.

SCHEDULED ACTION/PRESENTATION TOPICS

Thunder Hill Road Improvement

Township Engineer Ron Ragan provided the Board with drawings showing 16’, 18’ and 20’ cartways. Some fencing would need to be relocated. Piping at Bob Lester’s property would need to be improved. The stone wall on the property belonging to Barbara Lester would need to be removed. Bob Lester was in favor of the 16’ cartway. When the road is improved, the Township would want to take ownership of the right-of-way. Mr. Lester requested the crown of the road near Barbara Lester’s home be leveled a little since cars are bottoming out. Ron will send a PDF of the drawing to Bob Lester to send to his sister Barbara. Bob Lester will let the Board know if there are any concerns from the other homeowners.

James Nichol Subdivision

On a Motion by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the Nichol Subdivision Extension was approved. The vote was unanimous.

Emergency Operations Procedure

Mike Predmore will complete the Township Emergency Operations Procedure.

Meeting Minutes

On a Motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Gerry Porter, the October 19, 2011 Meeting Minutes were approved. The vote was unanimous.

Old/New Business

The Board of Supervisors agreed to the quote provided by ECE to perform the work required to repair the bilco door to the basement of the Township Building.

The meeting adjourned at 8:57 PM.
