PUBLIC NOTICE: COMPILATION OF LAND USE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NEW LONDON 2025 AND ZONING MAP

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP, WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 5, 2025 AT 6:00 PM, TO REVIEW AND RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENT ON, AND CONSIDER FOR ADOPTION AND ADOPT AT A PUBLIC MEETING IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER, REPEALING AND REPLACING THE COMPILATION OF LAND USE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NEW LONDON, AS AMENDED IN THEIR ENTIRETY AND REPEALING AND REPLACING THE NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP ZONING MAP, AS AMENDED BY A COMPILATION OF LAND USE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NEW LONDON 2025 AND ZONING MAP. A SUMMARY OF THE PROPOSED ORDINANCES IS OUTLINED HEREAFTER. THE PROPOSED ZONING MAP IS AVAILABLE ON THE TOWNSHIP WEBSITE AND AT THE TOWNSHIP BULDING. A COPY OF THE ORDINANCES AND NEW ZONING MAP IS AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW AT THIS NEWSPAPER AND THE CHESTER COUNTY LAW LIBRARY AND AT THE NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL BUILDING AT NO CHARGE, COPIES MAY BE OBTAINED AT A COST NO GREATER THAN THAT OF THE TOWNSHIP. BOTH HEARING AND REGULAR MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP BUILDING LOCATED AT 902 STATE ROAD, NEW LONDON, PA 19390 FOLLOWING IS A SUMMARY OF THE ORDINANCES:

Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London, Chapter 1 Zoning:

Part I Preamble, Part 2 Establishment of Districts, Prut 3 Reserved, Prut 4 R-Residential District, Part 5 Reserved, Part 6 Reserved, Part 7 C-Commercial District, Pait 8 LI-Limited Industrial District, Part 9 – NL V-New London Village District, Part IO I-Institutional District, Part 11 Flood Hazard District, Patt 12 Steep Slope Conservation District, Part 13 Design Standards, Pait 14 General Standards, Part 15 Mobile Home Park Standards, Part 16 Riparian Buffer Protection Overlay District, Part 17 Signs, Part 18 Nonconfom1ing Uses, Structures, Buildings and Lots, Part 19 Zoning Hearing Board, Part 20 Administration, Part 21 Amendment, Part 22 Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) Overlay District.

Chapter 1 repeals the Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London, Chapter 1 Zoning and replaces it with the Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London 2025, Chapter 1 Zoning and further repeals the Township of New London Zoning Map, as amended and replaces it with the Township of New London Zoning Map 2025.

Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London, Chapter 2 Subdivision and Land Development:

Part 1 General Provisions, Patt 2 Subdivision and Land Development Control, Part 3 Procedure, Part 4 Plan Requirements, Part 5 Design Standards, Part 6 Mobile Homes, Part 7 Construction and Acceptance of Public Improvements, Part 8 Administration, Part 9 Appendix A.

Chapter 2 repeals the Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London, Chapter 2 Subdivision and Land Development and replaces it with the Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London 2025, Chapter 2 Subdivision and Land Development.

Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London, Chapter 4 Definitions:

Part 1: Definitions, § 4-101 General, § 4-102 Definition of Terms

Chapter 4 repeals the Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London, Chapter 4 Definitions and replaces it with the Compilation of Land Use Ordinances of the Township of New London 2025, Chapter 4 Definitions.

The Ordinances contain Severability and Repealer provisions.
